Past Projects

Tom Glenn High School

This new high school, which opened in August 2016, was built for one of the fastest-growing areas in the state, Leander, TX, and is the largest of the district’s six high schools. The college-like campus includes modern features, including classrooms that open up to hallways, movable furniture, abundant windows for natural lighting, and color-coded “neighborhoods” that house the different academic departments. American Constructors built this new 436,000-square-foot high school, which is situated on 90 acres in Leander.

Govalle Elementary School

The new school is a replacement for the existing school and was built on the same site while the existing school was operational. The two-story school incorporates two learning neighborhoods–one on each floor–with each neighborhood including 12 studios, a professional learning center, two maker spaces, and small group break-out rooms to support 522 students. The campus includes raised garden beds, a reading garden, tree preservation, a cistern, outdoor classrooms, and a covered sports court.

Northside ISD Sotomayor High School
(Formerly Galm High School)

Sonia Sotomayor High School boasts an exceptional appearance, featuring vibrant colors that reflect the natural beauty of Government Canyon. The preservation of a prominent heritage oak tree at the front of the property enhances the campus’s appeal and draws attention to the scenic community in which it is situated. Inside the communal gathering spaces and corridors, birchwood ceilings add a touch of nature. Additionally, custom graphics were integrated into the final design, including an image of the notable heritage oak, adding a one-of-a-kind touch.

Silos Elementary School

This new elementary school with related and ancillary facilities including parking lots, athletic fields, library, cafetorium, food service area, and classrooms in the Silos Master Plan Community located west of San Antonio, Texas. The completed facility is approximately 100,000 SF.

Scope of this project involved the new construction of an elementary school for a total of approximately 99,971 sq ft including complete site development, structure, MEP systems, and exterior & interior finishes.

Rosebud Elementary School

The Rosebud's inaugural phase began with the massive transformation of over 500,000 cubic feet of earth. Now, as phase two unfolds, the project is poised to redefine the educational infrastructure. The upcoming main phase encompasses a comprehensive array of elements, from the lift station, to the construction of a 75,000 square foot school. Adjacent to this academic cornerstone, a 9,000 square foot pre-engineered metal building bus barn will be erected.

Hutto ISD Stadium Improvements

This project scope included renovations to the existing Hutto Memorial Stadium, increasing seating from 4,700 to 10,000. The base of the seating was raised by four feet for improved visibility.

The scope of construction also included two additional restrooms and concessions to aid the existing two concession buildings and two restroom facilities. The renovations and improvements added ease and increased accessibility during football games and other events hosted at the stadium.

Future Ready Learning Center

The design takes cues from nearby airport hangar and industrial buildings. The open interior utilizes steel beams, concrete columns, polished concrete floors and wood ceiling to support the aesthetic. 

 

The building centers around the commons and dining which features a 2nd level overlook that creates an arena space for programming and competitions. Classroom areas are highly interactive and flexible. The Future Ready Learning Complex also houses the Bridges program (community and vocational education), Richarte High School (an alternative school of choice), the Lone Star Circle of Care Clinic and an early childhood center. CTE students are engaged through the care clinic and the early childhood center as part of their instruction.

Dr. General Marshall Middle School

Dr. General Marshall Middle School, is a state-of-the-art education facility spanning an impressive 130,000 square feet.

The school comprises of two separate structures. The first structure is a single-story building that houses a cafeteria, gymnasium, competition area, and locker rooms for the gym. Connected by the breezeway, the Fire Arts building is dedicated to artistic activities like art, theater, band, choir, and classrooms. The second structure, a three-story building, serves as the administrative hub and main learning center. Here, you’ll find maker spaces, studios for various subjects, CTE rooms, a library, and other essential facilities.

BASIS Pflugerville Phase 1

The BASIS Pflugerville Campus is a new ground-up K-12 two-story building. Joeris completed the first 41,345 SF phase of the project, consisting of grades K-8. Phase I included an elevator, stairs, classrooms, administrative spaces, a multi-purpose room, and an exercise room.

Scope of work involves ground up construction of approximately 41,345 sq ft of classrooms, multi purpose rooms, exercise room, and indoor play area. Site includes mass grading, building pad, parking and drives, sidewalks and landscaping, and outdoor play areas. Exterior consists of brick veneer, stucco, metal panels, and glazing. Interior finishes include gypsum, paint, interior storefront, tile, carpet, stained concrete, and acoustic panels.

Liberty Hill ISD Bar W Elementary School

Liberty Hill ISD’s newest addition, Bar W Elementary school, is a new two-story educational facility in Leander, Texas, located on land previously owned by the Bar W family ranch. This 128,000 square-foot campus is home to more than 600 Pre-K to 5th-grade students, faculty, and staff.  The school features two floors of teachable spaces, a cafeteria, gym, two playgrounds, spacious courtyard, retention pond, collaborative areas, outdoor learning spaces and so much more.

Austin Achieve Public Schools Phase 1 & 2

Phase 1 of the Austin Achieve School Building project included the construction of a new primary school building on their new campus site. The building is approximately 70,000 sq ft on two floors. 

Phase 2 of the Austin Achieve School New Campus project includes construction of a new secondary school building on the campus site. The building is approximately 56,500 sq ft on two floors.
